Submission Guidelines
Submitting a manuscript to AQCH involves several steps that authors must follow to ensure their work meets the journal’s editorial standards and is processed efficiently. The submission guidelines are designed to help authors prepare their manuscripts for a successful review process.
1. Types of Articles Accepted AQCH accepts a wide range of article types. Each submission must contribute original scientific insights in the fields of cytology, histology, and pathology, with a particular focus on quantitative analysis. These include:
- Original Research Articles: Detailed investigations presenting new data and findings that contribute to the understanding of cytology and histology.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of specific research topics that summarize and analyze current knowledge.
- Case Studies: Reports on rare or novel cases that provide new insights into the practice of cytology or histology.
- Technical Reports: Descriptions of new methods, tools, or techniques for advancing research in cytology and histology.
- Letters to the Editor: Short commentaries or responses to previously published articles or significant findings in the field.
2. Manuscript Formatting It’s essential that manuscripts adhere to AQCH’s specific formatting requirements to facilitate smooth processing and ensure consistency across published articles.
- Document Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats. All text should be in 12-point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing and 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Title Page: The title page should include the title of the manuscript, author names and affiliations, contact information for the corresponding author, and any funding sources or conflicts of interest.
- Abstract: A structured abstract (maximum 250 words) that succinctly summarizes the aim, methods, results, and conclusions of the research.
- Main Body: The manuscript should be organized into clearly defined sections—Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
- References: All references should follow the APA or Vancouver citation style, and should be formatted according to the journal’s specific guidelines.
- Figures and Tables: All figures and tables should be numbered consecutively and must include detailed legends. Authors should submit high-resolution files in appropriate formats (e.g., TIFF, JPEG for images; Excel for tables).
3. Supplementary Materials Authors may submit supplementary files that complement the main manuscript. These can include large data sets, detailed methodology, additional figures, or video content. These materials should be clearly labeled and referenced in the main manuscript, and they should be formatted according to the journal’s standards.
4. Online Submission Portal Manuscripts should be submitted through the AQCH online submission system. Authors will receive an acknowledgment email confirming the receipt of their manuscript. Authors can track the status of their submission, including any reviewer comments, through this system.
5. Editorial Review All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial review to ensure they align with AQCH’s scope. Manuscripts that pass the initial review will be sent for peer review.
